Patent Prosecution Highway Extended

The USPTO released on June 28, 2007 that the Patent Prosecution Highway Pilot Program (PPH) will now be extended.  It was set to end July 3, 2007, but due to a recent change to the program, allowing PCT applications to be included, the program has been re-set to end January 3, 2008.

For those not familiar with PPH, it is a program that allows a patent application to be examined sooner that usual because the application's corresponding Japanese version's claims were determined patentable by the Japan Patent Office (JPO).  More information can be found by clicking the following link to the official USPTO document's PDF: http://www.uspto.gov/web/offices/pac/dapp/opla/preognotice/pphextension.pdf
